WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Nursery School Teachers & Assistant Teachers

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Our classroom teachers are responsible for developing meaningful relationships with our community of children, families, and staff. They create and implement play-based, intentional, and emergent curricula. They support children as they develop independence and social skills. Their classroom space is an attractive and engaging environment. Documenting children’s work is essential to their program. They are effective communicators and partner with families. Being collaborative team players with coworkers and administrators to develop innovative and collaborative programming is important to them.

WHAT MATTERS TO US:
EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education

  •  3-5 years of experience working in a preschool or nursery school environment
    • Prior experience working as a teacher, counselor or individual responsible for Jewish learning strongly desired
    • Knowledge of best practices in early childhood education

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented style.
• Love and respect for children
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Deep appreciation and knowledge of Jewish values, culture and tradition a plus.
• A commitment to continued education in Early Childhood development

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Individuals in this position must be able to lift children up to 40lbs. The ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and bend or put items underneath or in overhead bins is required. As a member of the teaching staff, you may at times be required to assist young children with their bathroom needs and or help them change clothing should they need to.
